N,N-Dipropyltryptamine (DPT) is a synthetic tryptamine, the dipropyl homolog of DMT, that has been used both recreationally and, historically, within psychotherapeutic and religious settings. Behavioral pharmacology in rodents indicates that its hallucinogen-like effects are driven mainly by agonism at the serotonin 5-HT2A receptor, with a modulatory contribution from 5-HT1A receptors, and it acts as a substrate at the serotonin and vesicular monoamine transporters.
