s. sean; independent researcher

who’s scientific sean?

i’m Sean; i mainly make short-form content regarding nootropics, pharmacology, and neuroscience

Sean goes by scientific sean across the socials, mainly creating TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube videos/reels/shorts respectively, and loves to talk about neuroscience, nootropics, and general psycho-pharmacology.

the main goal is to build a super easily accessible, simplified, informative, and useful database on a plethora of different compounds; from the (obvious) nootropics, to general pharmaceuticals, to supplements. the entire goal is to build something based off ACTUAL research and data; alongside anecdotal/user reported data.

charging for information is not right. this stays free, and it would not be any other way. using the affiliate codes here not only (very much appreciatedly) helps support the wiki, but also gives you ACTUAL good suppliers/resources for the things covered here. every one of them is in genuine use.

the point is for people to inform themselves on what they’re doing, and to reduce any misinformation spread widely about these chemicals. safety is key. feel free to join the Discord if you’d want to see the community that (somehow) grew around it. it’s cool. other than that, this site is a WORK IN PROGRESS! it is constantly being updated behind the scenes, so support means a lot.

the reason

i initially got into this for a few personal reasons, one of which i'm VERY open about: my brother. my brother was born with severe autism (low-functioning, severely mentally handicapped) and i take care of him as if he's my own child. i've never had any other real siblings in my life. i've had to take care of him ever since i was atleast conscious. i clean, cook, feed, and occasionally have to bathe the guy.

now, this isn't a pity story by any means, but, it always made me wonder to myself. "Why is he this way? Why wasn't I exactly like him? Why?" and ultimately, that road led me down the path of neuro-exploration.

i had originally started off small on social media, posting about peptides and whatever else (that everyone and their mother) could post about, until i got fascinated by pharma... these molecules. they do things? in our bodies? and some can impact our brains. i got hooked. after just google searching some common nootropics and posting my thoughts on them, i tried them. i couldn't believe how well-focused and maintained i was that day. i kept looking further into them. and i made the correlation. "These can possibly relate to my brothers situation..?" and it went on from there.

i developed an undying interest for health and enhancement in a sense, and now, i guess i made it too far to quit now, lol. i mean, i don't think there's a cure, or any old "limitless pill" to fix my brother (hard to figure out how to mess with synapses and prune which ones are screwing with his head haha), but, i mean, hey. i had a personal reason for getting in the space and it got me hooked, the goal is to hook others on too, haha

(i should probably stop putting sci- before everything oops)

the sci-pipeline

what is being built next, in the order it is being built. no dates, because a roadmap with dates on it is a roadmap that is wrong by christmas.

  1. user accounts and logins

somewhere to keep your own favourites, stacks and reading history, instead of the browser remembering it for you.

  2. more stacks and compounds

the catalogue keeps growing, and so does the curated stack roster; both are added to continuously rather than in a single release.

  3. an eventual expansion of the database

more than a longer list: deeper fields on every entry, and room for the kinds of data the current shape cannot hold.
