Feverfew and parthenolide are generally well tolerated short term; mouth ulcers and GI upset can occur, especially from chewing raw feverfew leaves. Stopping feverfew abruptly after long use can cause a rebound syndrome with headache and anxiety. It may increase bleeding risk and should be avoided in pregnancy and by people allergic to the daisy family.
