Mechanism
The three are grouped as neurotropic because each sits at a different point in nerve metabolism: thiamine pyrophosphate is the cofactor for pyruvate dehydrogenase and transketolase, so it gates neuronal glucose oxidation, pyridoxal phosphate is the cofactor for essentially all neurotransmitter decarboxylations, and B12 is required for maintenance through methionine synthase. Correcting a genuine deficiency of any of them helps; there is little good evidence for the combination in people who are not deficient.

Sold as an intramuscular ampoule as well as a tablet, and the tablet regimen on the label delivers roughly 600 mg of pyridoxine a day, a dose that causes sensory peripheral neuropathy when taken for months.
Subjective profileweighing the evidence above
The irony deserves stating plainly: the B6 in a neurotropic B complex, taken daily for months at the load these labels carry, causes the same sensory peripheral neuropathy the product is sold to relieve. Correcting a real B12 or thiamine deficiency helps a great deal and is worth testing for first; taking the trio because the feet tingle is a different act entirely and can make things worse. The intramuscular ampoule adds nothing a tablet cannot do for a deficiency, and adds an injection.
