Allylescaline is a psychedelic phenethylamine of the mescaline-analog scaline family, distinguished by an allyloxy group at the 4 position of the 3,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine scaffold. Mechanism
Allylescaline is a 3,5-dimethoxy-4-allyloxy phenethylamine, a close relative of mescaline in which the 4-position methoxy is replaced by an allyloxy group. Its core action is agonism at the receptor, the receptor that drives the classic psychedelic state, with secondary serotonin (5-HT2C) activity. Extending and unsaturating the 4-position substituent increases 5-HT2A affinity, which makes it considerably more potent than mescaline by weight.
