Bromo-DragonFLY is a benzodifuran psychedelic, a conformationally rigid analog of DOB in which the phenethylamine is locked into a winged 'dragonfly' shape that greatly enhances affinity and residence at the 5-HT2A receptor. It is an extraordinarily potent and unusually long-acting 5-HT2A agonist and displays biased, functionally selective signaling at the receptor; it is also resistant to hepatic metabolism and potently inhibits monoamine oxidase A, properties that help explain its very long duration. Pronounced serotonergic and adrenergic vasoconstriction has produced severe limb and peripheral ischemia, and delayed-onset seizures, mass-poisoning incidents, and fatalities have been documented. It is regarded as one of the more hazardous psychedelics known.

Mechanism
Bromo-DragonFLY is a phenethylamine in which two furan rings are fused onto the benzene ring, rigidly holding the molecule in a shape that binds the receptor with very high affinity and acts as a potent . It is also a strong 5-HT2C and 5-HT2B agonist and drives intense, prolonged vasoconstriction, likely through serotonergic action on blood vessels. Its extremely slow dissociation from the receptor is a major reason its effects can last for a day or more.

Bromo-DragonFLY is active at tiny amounts, so it is very easy to take a dangerous quantity, and its effects can last well over a day, which is exhausting and disorienting. The most notorious hazard is severe peripheral vasoconstriction that can cut off blood flow to fingers, toes, and limbs and cause tissue death and gangrene; seizures and deaths have also occurred. It must never be combined with vasoconstrictors or serotonergic drugs, and people with any cardiovascular problem should not go near it. Not medical advice.
