Cocoa flavanols are very easy to tolerate overall. The main thing to watch is the caffeine and theobromine; sensitive folks can get palpitations, trouble sleeping, or an upset stomach, so keep doses low or go with a decaffeinated extract. Skip it if you're hypersensitive to stimulants. There's a real drug interaction with dasatinib (and possibly other CYP3A4 or P-gp substrates), so cancer patients should be cautious. And oddly enough, very high doses (over 900 mg flavanols) can blunt blood pressure meds rather than help them.
