PARGY-LAD is an obscure lysergamide analog of LSD in which one amide N-ethyl group is replaced by a propargyl group, a short carbon chain terminating in a triple bond. By analogy with LSD and other N-substituted lysergamides, it is presumed to act primarily through partial agonism at the 5-HT2A serotonin receptor and to produce a classical psychedelic state. The compound is very poorly characterized; no dedicated pharmacological, receptor-binding, or clinical studies are indexed in the biomedical literature, and its potency, duration, and safety profile are correspondingly uncertain.

Mechanism
PARGY-LAD is presumed to act as a partial at the receptor, the receptor central to the classic psychedelic state, in common with the wider lysergamide family. By analogy to LSD it likely also touches 5-HT2C and receptors. Because human and binding data are sparse, its precise affinities are not firmly established and are best treated conservatively.

Safetyrisks and cautions, not medical advice
Like other lysergamides, PARGY-LAD is expected to be physiologically low in toxicity but psychologically intense, and its effects are essentially unstudied, so dosing margins are unknown. It should be avoided by anyone with a personal or family history of psychosis or bipolar disorder, and combining it with MAOIs or strongly serotonergic drugs (serotonin toxicity) or with lithium or tramadol (seizure reports) is dangerous. Not medical advice.
Subjective profileweighing the evidence above
Essentially unknown. There is no binding data, no established dose, no duration and no safety record; everything said about it is inference from LSD. Taking an uncharacterized lysergamide by guesswork is how people get into trouble.

FAQ
What is PARGY-LAD?
It is a rare LSD analog with a propargyl group replacing one N-ethyl; it is presumed to share LSD's 5-HT2A mechanism.
Is its potency known?
Not reliably; there is very little human data, so any potency estimate should be treated cautiously.
How does it act in the brain?
It is presumed to partially activate the 5-HT2A serotonin receptor like other classic psychedelics.
Limitations of the evidence
- Largely unknown safety margin
Adverse effects
- Anxiety or disorientation
- Pupil dilation and wakefulness
