Dichloropane (RTI-111) is a phenyltropane, part of the same research family as cocaine but built to be more potent and longer-lasting. It blocks the reuptake of dopamine, norepinephrine, and to a lesser degree serotonin, giving it strong stimulant properties. It came out of academic work on cocaine analogs and shows up occasionally as a research chemical.

Mechanism
As a tropane analog it inhibits the , , and transporters (the proteins that pull these neurotransmitters back out of the ). Like other potent dopamine reuptake blockers it carries real cardiovascular risk (high heart rate and blood pressure) and a strong potential for compulsive redosing. Its longer duration than cocaine means the strain on the heart is sustained rather than brief.
