why it works

how they work together

Four points on one cycle, and the cycle is what makes the combination coherent rather than four bets on hair.

A follicle moves through anagen (growth), catagen (regression) and telogen (rest). Androgenetic alopecia shortens anagen progressively until the follicle miniaturises. Each item here acts at a different point on that loop.

Minoxidil extends anagen and shortens telogen directly; its mechanism is vasodilatory and involves potassium channel opening, and it is the only item with decades of approved use behind it. SM-04554 modulates Wnt signalling, which is one of the pathways that pushes follicles into anagen in the first place, so it acts on entry to the phase minoxidil extends. Pyrilutamide removes the androgen pressure that closes the phase early. GHK-Cu addresses the matrix and vasculature the follicle sits in.

Enter the phase, extend the phase, remove what ends it, and improve the tissue it happens in. That is a genuine chain rather than four vasodilators.

what it feels like

⚠️ MINOXIDIL CAUSES SHEDDING IN THE FIRST WEEKS AND THIS IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING. Telogen follicles are pushed out as new anagen hairs begin, so hair loss visibly increases for four to eight weeks. It is expected, it is a sign the mechanism is engaging, and it is by far the most common reason people quit before anything could have worked.

After that, nothing visible for three to four months. Six to twelve months is the honest window for judging.

Fixed-lighting photographs at fixed intervals are worth more than any impression, because this is the slowest and least perceptible change on the page.
