Evolocumab is a biologic medication used to lower cholesterol, belonging to a class of drugs called PCSK9 inhibitors. It is a monoclonal antibody that blocks the protein PCSK9, allowing the liver to clear more low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol from the blood.
