the clutch stack: one hard stimulant racetam, the choline to pay for it, and a b1 derivative that reaches the brain
3 items; 2 structures drawn from pubchem, 1 drawn generically because pubchem has no record of the name.
This is the clutch stack rather than a daily one, and that framing is the most important thing on the page. It is for the day that has to go well: an exam, a deadline, a competition, a long drive. Everything about the roster follows from that.
Phenylpiracetam was developed in the Soviet Union and does have a genuine history with cosmonauts and with cold-weather and high-stress performance, which is the origin of the name. That history is real; what it does not establish is that the compound is good to take every day, and the community consensus that grew up around it independently reached the same conclusion the pharmacology suggests.
⚠️ THIS IS NOT THE beginner focus STACK AND NOT processing speed. Beginner focus is built on caffeine and L-theanine and is meant to be run continuously. This one is built on a compound that stops working if you do that. If you are choosing between them, the question is not which is stronger; it is whether you want something for today or something for the month.
Phenylpiracetam is piracetam with a phenyl group, and that one addition is what turns a mild racetam into something with genuine stimulant character and measurable effects on physical stamina and cold tolerance. It also raises acetylcholine turnover, which is where Alpha-GPC comes in: the classic racetam headache is a choline deficit under load, and pairing the two is the most reliable folk finding in this whole corner of the field.
Sulbutiamine is doing a different job from either. Thiamine itself crosses the blood-brain barrier poorly; sulbutiamine is two thiamine molecules joined by a disulphide bridge and made lipophilic, which is precisely the modification that gets it in. So the stack is one driver, one substrate for it, and one cofactor that the driver's own metabolism leans on.
Phenylpiracetam arrives inside an hour and is unmistakable: more drive, more physical willingness, and a noticeably higher tolerance for cold and for boredom. This is one of the few things on this site that does announce itself.
Alpha-GPC feels like nothing, and its contribution is best judged by the headache that does not happen. Sulbutiamine sits somewhere between, often described as motivation rather than stimulation, and it is the item most prone to its own tolerance.
⚠️ TOLERANCE IS THE DEFINING PROPERTY OF THIS STACK, NOT A FOOTNOTE. Phenylpiracetam builds tolerance within days of continuous use, and the effect does not return by pushing the dose. One to two days a week is the standard ceiling and it exists because the alternative does not work rather than because anyone is being cautious. It is also a banned substance in competition under the World Anti-Doping Agency code. Anyone drug-tested for sport should not touch it. Sleep is the other real cost: this has a long enough action that an afternoon dose reaches bedtime, and the stack's stimulant character makes that worse than it sounds. Sulbutiamine has its own tolerance curve and has been reported in habitual overuse; it is not a neutral add-on.
