a delivery technique, not a formula: a fat carrier and five minutes under the tongue
2 items; 2 structures drawn from pubchem.
This is a technique, and the reason to write it down is that the technique is where most of the variance lives. Dihexa is expensive and lipophilic, and taken as a dry powder or swallowed it is largely wasted; the difference between the people who report a great deal from it and the people who report nothing is very often nothing more than how it was administered.
The fish oil is doing three ordinary jobs at once: it dissolves the compound, it gives the powder something to be held in place by, and it is a thing most people already have in a cupboard. Any DHA or EPA capsule works, and there is nothing special about a particular brand or ratio for this purpose.
⚠️ NO AMOUNT IS PRINTED HERE, AND THAT IS DELIBERATE RATHER THAN AN OMISSION. Dihexa's own entry states plainly that there is no established human dose, because it has never been given to humans in a registered trial; the five ClinicalTrials.gov entries in that programme are all for fosgonimeton, a different molecule. This site publishes timing and technique and does not publish milligram figures, and it is least willing to do so for a compound with no human dose to publish.
The whole idea here is DELIVERY rather than pharmacology, and it is worth being clear that the fish oil is not a second active ingredient in this stack. It is the vehicle.
Dihexa is strongly lipophilic, which is the property its designers were after: a molecule that crosses the blood brain barrier readily has to be at home in fat. That same property makes it a poor fit for a dry powder held in a dry mouth. Crushing a DHA or EPA capsule and working the powder into the oil gives it a lipid phase to dissolve into before it ever meets the mucosa, and the sublingual route then bypasses the gut and the first pass through the liver entirely, which for a peptide-derived molecule is the difference between an absorbed dose and an expensive one.
Five minutes is the part people cut short. Sublingual absorption is slow relative to how long anyone wants to sit still, and swallowing early converts the whole thing back into an oral dose with the first-pass losses reinstated.
Reported as a clear, unusually durable lift in cognition, and the timescale people describe is days rather than minutes: Dihexa's mechanism is synaptogenesis, so what is being reported is a structural change accumulating rather than an acute effect arriving.
⚠️ THAT SAME DESCRIPTION IS WHY THE CAUTION BELOW IS NOT BOILERPLATE. A compound that builds something is a compound that keeps building, and the reports that make this method popular are exactly the reports a growth-factor pathway would produce.
⚠️ READ DIHEXA'S OWN PAGE BEFORE THIS ONE, because the stack does not soften what it says. Human safety data for Dihexa as sold does not exist: no published toxicology, no long-term safety study in any species, and no human trial of the molecule itself. The evidence base is rodent work plus self-experimentation. ⚠️ THE MECHANISM IS THE RISK. Dihexa works by potentiating hepatocyte growth factor signalling at MET, and MET is a proto-oncogene; HGF and MET overactivation drives proliferation, invasion and metastasis across several tumour types. A compound whose entire selling point is sustained potentiation of a growth pathway carries that concern by construction rather than by accident. Anyone with a personal or family history of cancer should stay away from it, which is the verdict on its own entry and is repeated here because a stack page is where someone decides to start. The sublingual route raises absorption, which means it raises exposure; a technique that works better is not a technique that is safer. Fish oil itself is the mild half of this: it affects platelet function, so it adds to the bleeding risk of anticoagulants, and crushed capsules oxidise quickly, so they should be mixed immediately before use rather than prepared ahead.
