NACET is a lipophilic ethyl-ester version of NAC (N-acetylcysteine). The ester makes it far more cell-permeable and orally absorbable than NAC, so more of it reaches tissues, where it is cleaved back to NAC and cysteine and feeds glutathione, the body's main built-in antioxidant.
L-Methionine is an essential sulfur-containing amino acid and the dietary precursor to S-adenosylmethionine, the body's main methyl donor; its metabolism necessarily passes through homocysteine on the way to cysteine and glutathione [1].
