Endoluten is a capsule of polypeptide fractions extracted from the pineal gland of young cattle, sold as a neuroendocrine and anti ageing supplement; it is an organ extract and not a defined peptide.
- Pineal gland polypeptide fractions from young cattle
- Sold as a neuroendocrine and anti ageing supplement
- The oral descendant of injectable Epithalamin
- Capsule format, so no injection is needed
- A whole gland extract rather than a synthetic molecule
Mechanism
This is the oral supplement descendant of Epithalamin, the injectable pineal extract on which most of the Khavinson group's long term human work was done, and the claimed action is restoration of pineal melatonin rhythm. Whether an oral extract reproduces anything an injected one did is untested.
Safetyrisks and cautions, not medical advice
Endoluten is a biological preparation in the bioregulator class. A full adverse effect profile has not been compiled for this entry yet, so nothing here should be read as evidence that it is well tolerated; the absence is missing work rather than a finding. What is documented is what the compound is and what it is used for.
Subjective profileweighing the evidence above
Everything interesting about the pineal peptide story happened with injected Epithalamin in one institute, and this is a capsule; oral peptides face a stomach and a gut wall, and whether anything survives that in a form reaching the pineal axis has never been shown. The lifespan and rhythm claims are therefore borrowed from a different product given by a different route. If the goal is a sleep rhythm that has drifted, melatonin itself is cheap, well characterised and the very thing this capsule is claimed to restore indirectly. What is left is bovine gland extract at a longevity price.
